It’s a Wrap! 200 SD-WAN Global Channel Partners Make VeloCloud Achieve 2017 a Hit

Question: What do legendary 49ers football player Ronnie Lott, the CTO of a major beverage company, and a cool and sexy technology all have in common?

Answer: VeloCloud Achieve 2017!

For three days, we had the privilege of hosting the industry’s premier SD-WAN partner event, hosting over 200 VeloCloud Registered Partners from around the globe in the heart of Silicon Valley. The overarching goal was to enable, empower, and educate partners for success in helping their customers adopt and deploy SD-WAN. Hot topics included VeloCloud’s long-term vision for SD-WAN, evolving industry best practices, and how to best position, sell and deploy solutions in a rapidly growing market.

As Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN continues to disrupt traditional Enterprise and Service Provider networking with a huge available market and numerous deployment scenarios, the need for actionable information and knowledge is critical. Using four parallel educational tracks, VeloCloud Achieve was able to deliver something for everyone in a short period of time. The audience of Service Providers, MSPs, VARs, and System Integrators, walked away with a full toolbox to help them better serve their customers with a transformational technology and reap the financial rewards that SD-WAN affords. 

Achieve_PanelFor all: VeloCloud CEO, Sanjay Uppal, and VP of Product, Steve Woo, delivered dynamic and engaging discussions on the state of the SD-WAN market, the huge potential for growth, product roadmap and competitive information, providing partners with a clear vision of where VeloCloud and the industry is going. Alan Boehme, VeloCloud Advisory Board Member and Global CTO of a major beverage company delivered the industry keynote address on Technology Trends, cloud and the impact on enterprise IT. 

One of the most popular sessions was the “lessons from the trenches” panel discussion with VeloCloud partners including MetTel, QoS Consulting, Vonage, WanDynamics and TelePacific

VeloCloud Achieve also generated an exceptional environment for networking opportunities with shared table lunches, appreciation dinners, and roundtable sessions. Attending partners, from small regional VARs to Tier 1 service providers, found themselves in the company of like-minded colleagues that they wouldn’t normally interact with, allowing them to share their own best practices and deployment strategies.

For the techies: For two full days, VeloCloud engineers delivered over 250 hands-on lab sessions that covered design, architecture, and deployment scenarios, providing partners with the knowledge they needed to serve and delight their customers. Technical deep-dive breakout sessions gave even the most experienced partners new insights into the capabilities of the solution. In a casual, yet informative session titled “Meet the Architects,” attendees got a unique opportunity to directly interact with and ask questions of the brains behind VeloCloud technology, design and architecture, gaining a deeper understanding and connection to our solutions. 

As one of our attendees stated,“I learned more from this track than from my three years deploying VeloCloud.”

Achieve_LottTalkFor the sales and business leaders: Presentations and interactive workshops on selling the value of SD-WAN, how to pitch it to customers, and marketing the technology to their target audience was informative for those seeking to turn customer interest into business.

Our “Objection Handling” session garnered a great response as the entire audience was able to participate. Mike Wood, VP of Marketing, presented common objections from potential customers and asked each roundtable of attendees to brainstorm answers, which were then shared with the rest of the audience.

For the sports fan: Ronnie Lott, four-time Super Bowl champion, gave a motivational speech during the event’s networking dinner at the local Testarossa Winery on the privilege of playing football with teams, just like VeloCloud and its partners, that had the common goal of being part of something bigger than themselves and winning.
