VeloCloud VP Michael Wood to Highlight Innovative Service Provider SD-WAN Architectures at Cowen Summit
Mountain View, Calif, August 3, 2016
VeloCloud Networks Inc., the Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN™ company, today announced that Michael Wood, VeloCloud VP of Marketing, has been selected to present on a panel titled “SD-WAN: Enabling New Service Provider Revenue Opportunities” at the second annual Cowen and Company Communications Infrastructure Summit next week.
Mr. Wood will discuss how, using VeloCloud, regional, national and global service providers and value added resellers (VARs) are driving new and innovative revenue models by moving beyond box managed networks to secure, scalable, virtualized and high performance cloud-delivered SD-WAN deployments. He will share how the world’s leading carriers and VARs enable their customers to expand existing MPLS deployments; extend control, performance and quality to cloud services; and dramatically reduce costs, complexity and time to deploy.
VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN enables enterprises to securely support application growth, network agility and simplified branch implementations while delivering optimized access to cloud services, private datacenters and enterprise applications. Global service providers are able to increase revenue, deliver advanced services and increase flexibility by delivering elastic transport, performance for cloud applications, and integrated advanced services all via a zero-touch deployment model. Both enterprises and service providers benefit from the multi-tenant cloud gateway architecture and the ability to support real-time applications over ordinary broadband links.
The panel, moderated by Paul Silverstein, Managing Director, Cowen Institutional Research, will be held from 10:10 am – 10:50 am MDT on Aug. 9 in the Xanadu III Lobby Level conference room at the St. Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Colo. Mr. Wood will present real world SD-WAN use cases and deployments for service providers, and how they can uncover expanded revenue opportunities. He will also discuss why SD-WAN architecture matters, the differences in various SD-WAN offerings and how a cloud-delivered architecture delivers distinct advantages for carriers – including true multi-tenancy, cloud services performance and the ability to augment existing MPLS infrastructure.
Cowen and Company conferences include leading companies in the areas of healthcare, technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), information and technology services, consumer, energy, aerospace & defense / industrials, and transportation.
