Company Showcasing Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN Benefits in Proof of Concept Demonstration; Participating on Open SD-WAN Exchange Panel Discussion
Mountain View, Calif., October 24, 2016
VeloCloud™ Networks, Inc., the Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN™ company, today announced it has been selected to demonstrate interoperability of its SD-WAN overlay with service provider networks and existing enterprise datacenters and non-SD-WAN sites at ONUG Fall 2016 in New York, Oct. 24 – 25. These demonstrations showcase the unique characteristics of the VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN approach to simplifying deployment and management of hybrid WAN, and delivering application and cloud services performance.
VeloCloud, a member of the Open SD-WAN Exchange working group, will highlight the advantages of the Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN approach in the following showcases at the event:
- PoC demonstration titled “SD-WAN Interoperability with Provider Backbones,” led by VeloCloud VP of Products and Co-founder Steve Woo on Oct. 24 at 2:20 pm EDT. VeloCloud will demonstrate an architecture for SD-WAN integration to a service provider’s private MPLS network using cloud-deployed gateways, providing interoperability between a new SD-WAN domain for last mile access with legacy MPLS network for mid-mile transport and existing datacenter connectivity. The enterprise benefit is the ability to mix and match WAN services for the optimal end-to-end performance.
- Open SD-WAN Exchange (OSE) initiative update chaired by Conrad Menezes of Bank of America and Steve Wood of Cisco on Oct. 24 at 3:10 pm EDT, where Mr. Woo is a panel participant.
VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN delivers assured application performance, secure and available hybrid networks, and zero touch WAN automation. These capabilities are extended directly to service provider private backbones and cloud datacenters and services, as well as between enterprise sites. A cloud-delivered solution enables SD-WAN over last mile broadband and off-net circuits to access existing private backbones to leverage their reliable mid-mile connectivity and existing connectivity to enterprise sites. The solution also has the flexibility to be deployed as a fully over-the-top solution with on-premises SD-WAN hubs. This is uniquely combined with the use of VeloCloud Gateways for direct SD-WAN access to SaaS and IaaS destinations.
